Description:
This course aims to provide the delegate with skills to manage soft tissue injuries of the hand. It complements the Hand Fracture Fixation course to provide a complete hand trauma management programme.
The following topics will be covered using both sophisticated simulation models and innovatively designed biological dissections:
- Surgical access for different zones in the hand
- Tendon retrieval & repair
- Tendon reconstruction
- Pulley repair/reconstruction
- Nerve repair
- Nerve grafts
- Skin reconstruction
- Complex multi-level injuries
This distinctive course using live video demonstrations, multi-modal magnification and digital technologies that will promote participants to learn/refine skills. Delegates will be offered an opportunity to be assessed using Work Based Assessments or other forms of assessment(for international delegates). This will contribute towards appraisals and career progression.
